Student Placement

The Department of Neurosurgery facilitates the training of medical students, nursing students, and allied health professional students from the University of Dundee and the University of Abertay.

All medical students spend two weeks in neurosurgery and neurology in their fourth year.  Some fifth year students may also spend a prolonged period of time completing their surgical apprenticeship training.  Current Dundee medical students will find the teaching timetable on their Dundee MBChB website.

Students from both the UK and abroad are welcome to arrange elective placements at the Department of Neurosurgery at Ninewells Hospital.  If you are interested please Contact Us.
